Eric Cozanet is engineer graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris and has a Ph. D in Economics. After several years as a consultant in an engineering company and then in Renault car manufacturer in charge of purchasing policy, he joined France Telecom in 1980 for econometric studies and network investment planning. In 1989, he moved to Germany, to be responsible, as CFO and then CEO, for the foundation and development of Eucom, ,the first joint-venture between France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom dedicated to the offering of value added services at the european level. In 1996, Eric Cozanet, as Director for Investor Relations, contributes to the preparation of FT IPO and the relations with the financial community. In 1998, he became head of FT Intellectual Property and Licensing and proposed to found France Telecom Technologies, an investment fund dedicated to the transfert of intellectual property and technology towards high-tech companies. In 2003, Eric founds with institutional investors a 34 M€ venture fund, Ouest Ventures, mainly focused on high tech start-ups located in the western part of France.
